The group provider of electricity AES El Salvador invested during this year's $ 24.7 million on improvement works and expanding the distribution network of its four businesses.
This investment is $ 2.7 million higher than the average expected for this year, which were $ 22 million, said Ricardo Vega, Vice President of Operations for AES.
Vega attributed the increase to greater electrification projects rural.
With the resources for investment, the company generated 3.053 jobs.
Most resources, $ 9.8 million, went to improvements in distribution networks, generating 950 jobs.
For next year, AES El Salvador expects to invest between $ 25 and $ 27 million.

- The Fomilenio electrification project is one of the strategic investment in AES.
- This year we built 529 kilometers line in the north, when it invested $ 1 million and created 942 jobs.
- In 2012 expect to complete the 1,500 km network posed by the project, implemented with a grant from the Millennium Challenge Corporation.
