AES El Salvador supports the training of students


Recently AES El Salvador signed a cooperation agreement with Ricaldone Technical Institute, which provides benefits to students of that institution, who initially have begun to receive technical talks given by our professionals, addressing issues on Energy Efficiency, Power Quality, Mobile Applications for Emergency and Accident Prevention by electrocution.

Moreover, the school provided a space within its facilities for the construction of a distribution circuit, where it will undergo the training practices will be monitored by the technical school of AES El Salvador.

Currently some students are also making their internships in different areas of the company, thereby helping to consolidate the knowledge acquired in the educational institution whose mission is the cultural, scientific and technological students, so they are ready to integrate into society as actors their own history.

In 1890, just eight years since Thomas Alva Edison built the first power plant, and when San Salvador just had 32 thousand inhabitants, a group of entrepreneurs founded the first power company in El Salvador.

Some important milestones

1890: Founding of the first electric company in El Salvador, CAESS, with a generating plant located in Agua Caliente, Soyapango.

1930: CAESS company began operating as Public Lighting.

1945: creates the Lempa River Hydroelectric Executive (CEL), which took in charge of the production of hydroelectric power in the country. From that moment, CAESS is dedicated to the distribution of electricity.

1998: On 19 January, the government of President Armando Calderon Sol, CEL through, making the auction and sale of companies DELSUR, EEO, and CLESA CAESS latter under the administration of CEL. EDC, Venezuela's energy group, under the name of ENERSAL, acquired the shares of CAESS and EEO. In October 1998, through CAESS EDC acquires 97% stake in DEUSEM.

2000: The AES Corporation acquired a majority stake in Venezuela EDC group and hence their assets abroad, so as CAESS, EEO and become DEUSEM companies AES El Salvador, together with CLESA, which had been acquired by AES during privatization.

2007: CAESS, along with other AES distribution companies in El Salvador, initiated an educational project, to bring knowledge on all topics related to electrical energy to schools and communities served, and to train adults in the building trades to assist them in developing a productive activity. AES El Salvador awarded for "Excellence in Occupational Safety and Environmental Security" AES El Salvador performs

Recently, the Safety Award presented annually by 3M, was awarded to AES El Salvador, in recognition of his "Excellence in Occupational Safety and Environmental Security" , having shown a substantial and sustainable improvement of health and safety systems implemented in their companies.

This year, involving more than 30 companies nationwide, and the aim of the awards was to recognize companies committed to promoting prevention of occupational hazards in the country, realizing that human capital is the most important resource within companies.

The prize is awarded every year, in order to recognize companies that have excelled in their programs on the protection and industrial safety of its employees. The 3M Award for Safety, was born in 1992 when it was declared by the Organization of the United Nations "Year of occupational health."

The evaluation committee consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Labour, the Salvadoran Social Security Institute, the Center for Integrated Development Consulting and Management, and Advisors Health professionals and industrial safety.

Companies AES El Salvador, CAESS, CLESA, EEO and DEUSEM, as part of its efforts to support their industrial clients and business, offered on Friday November 5th seminar on "Electric Power Quality, Industry and Trade."

Electromechanical Engineer, with a graduate degree in Quality of Energy, National University of Río Cuarto, Córdoba, Argentina. Today serves as International Coordinator Range in Regional Energy Integration Commission, CIER. Among its main responsibilities highlights the Coordination of International Projects related to: Quality of Service, Efficiency, and technical and non technical losses in distribution, among others. Also in the area of \u200b\u200btraining, develop teaching materials for the course "Power Quality in Distribution Systems", through e-learning system via the web for Latin America.
